Patchwork Skirt

I am trying out the patterns that are listed in the shop.

One by one.

First the Jack and Jill Hat pattern, and now the Patchwork Skirt.

I made this one for my daughter out of the Tweet Tweet Line from Moda.

I would say overall, it was an easy pattern. No templates, just squares and waistband and hem band.
It took me about 2 nap times to finish.

I always tend to the skip the step "Sew down each seam". I don't like that step. It is very time consuming and when you are working during naps, you don't have a lot of time! However, I do wish I would have taken the time for that step, I think the dress would have fallen better.

But I think she liked it overall!
Except for her shoes. They didn't match.

Nope. She wasn't happy about the shoes at all!

But she can pull it off :)

You can find the pattern HERE in the shop.
Send me a note if you have any questions about this pattern.

FYI

Item of Business #1:

The Fabric Store will be closed from Saturday May 8th to Wednesday May 19th. So get your orders in before we close up!

#2:
Do you love this line?

If you do, then prepare yourself.....It has been discontinued. Yes it has, this is not a joke!

I was devastated when I heard the news too!

I only have a little bit left of each, and I can't order any more! So if you need some, I recommend getting your order in before it is gone.

Have a good weekend!

For Fun

Do you read Portabellopixie?

I do.

And when I saw her Saturday Market Skirt tutorial, I knew I wanted one!

Isn't Sandis' adorable!

I am thinking I want to make another one. Next time I will use more fabrics. The skirt isn't hard, just a little time consuming. After all, there are a lot of squares!

So if you feel up to it, head on over to Portabellopixie and try it out. The Saturday Market Skirt is under the free projects on the right side.

Happy Sewing!
