Busy Busy

My life is Busy Busy!

Sorry for my absence.

Between chasing toddlers, cutting fabric, growing a baby, and simply just keeping up with life, it seems as though blogging is taking a backseat.

Where are my priorities, right? :)

We have added some super cute prints in the meantime though,

Oh, how I LOVE the snails!

And also by the end of the day we hope to have these two little cuties back in stock:

Owls in Bermuda and Owls in Blue

And in the midst of all the craziness of life, I have been doing a little sewing as well.
We found out last week that we are going to be adding another baby girl to the mix.  Yay!
So my next few projects are probably going to be pink ;)

Here is a little sneak peak of the nursery-to-be.  I can't wait to get it all put together!

Have a great weekend everyone, and happy sewing!

It's here!
Isn't it adorable?
I find out on Monday if we will be adding a little gentlemen or princess to the the fam, and let me tell you, if it is a gentlemen, I may just have to save all these prints for myself :)
Okay, I am not really that selfish......well, maybe a little!

Here I have paired it up with two prints from other collections that I think work great together!

Round

This week I have been working on a few Round Projects.

#1 Pie Pillow

Remember when I finished my Tufted Tweets Quilt?  I had a few scraps left over and thought a little pillow would look great next to the quilt.

I cut out 12 pieces, about 4" wide and 9" long.

And sewed them together.  Then I laid my finished circle on the fabric I chose for the back of the pillow and traced a back piece.

Then I cut a 5" x the circumference of the circle piece and sewed it along the edges, right sides together.
I sewed the back onto the trim piece, and left an opening to stuff the pillow.
I added a green button to the center and viola!  I love how it looks on the couch with the quilt.
HERE you can find the Tufted Tweets Collection in the shop!
But beware, it is super cute!

Round Project #2
Fabric Topiary Trees

I started with two Styrofoam balls, in different sizes.
Chose some cute Bliss Fabric, and cut a bunch of 2.5" strips.

I used the hot glue gun to secure my twisted strips to the balls.  I used the same technique as making rosette flowers, and just glued them to the ball. It is very time consuming, but they turned out super cute!
(oh yeah, the balls were sitting in bowls to keep them from rolling away from me.)

I painted some pots, grabbed some wood dowels, and of course, added a few rosettes. They are just what I needed for that spot.

And now,

Round Project #3
I have been working on this one the longest.
After fighting (and winning) cancer the last few years, I am so excited to welcome this long awaited and anticipated addition to our family.

Some days I am so excited, and some days really apprehensive about having 3 children and being outnumbered!

At least I have a few more months to prepare :)

Prepare yourselves that once I find out what this sweet little bundle of joy is going to be, you can expect LOTS of baby projects.

But those are the cutest, right :)

♥ Valentine's Bliss ♥

When Bliss arrived, my heart skipped a beat.

It was beautiful and breathtaking.

And I had all sorts of Valentine projects planned for this adorable collection.

And now, some of them are finally finished!

Table runner

I didn't have a pattern for this one, I just kind of made it up.
Which was really hard, but totally worth it.
It turned out exactly the way I wanted!

Rosette Wreath
I have been wanting to try my hand at making fabric rosettes for awhile now, and they were actually a lot easier than I thought they would be.
I have since become addicted to rosette making.

Which is great because it is using up a lot of my scraps!

Love me some Bliss! Isn't it great for Valentines?

And CHRYSALIS is here!

All 25 prints.

I may have gotten a little carried away.

But once you see it, you will be in love too!
