New Fabric Friday!

Okay, first things first.
I have been MIA the past few weeks, but I have a good reason.
It looks like my Thyroid Cancer decided to come back for round 2.
Last Thursday I went in for another surgery to remove some cancerous bumps in my neck.
I will spare you the after photos, as they are a little scary.  They cut me up pretty good all around my neck, I am channeling "Bride of Frankenstein" over here.
Halloween costume...check!

I am doing well, and ready to get back to work :)

So here is What's New this week!

Easy Fall Projects

Does your coffee table need a little harvest magic?

I made this
Sweet and Simple Tablerunner
in a just a few hours, out of some of my favorite fall prints.

I love that most Fall collections coordinate so well that you can mix and match prints to your hearts content!
For this particular runner, I used an assortment of prints from the

&
I just cut a bunch of different width-sized strips, all 14.5" long and sewed them together.
Then quilted them to the backing just using straight lines.
And shhhhhh, don't tell anyone, but I machine bound it.

HERE is a great tutorial for a very similar tablerunner!

Another easy fall project is this
 Scrap Buster Tree Pillow

I originally saw this HERE, and knew I had to have one.
Love it.
It was so easy and a great way to use up all your scraps.

And in case you missed it last year, HERE is the tutorial for the
Burlap Halloween Pillows.

Happy Harvest!

Summer Sewing

I know Summer is practically over, and most of your little ones are heading off to school, but I really wanted to share one little Summer Sewing project I actually finished!
My mother used to dress me and my three sisters alike, and we all hated it.
Who would have thought I would do it to my own.
It is just so cute, who can resist?

The Sew Cherry Collection is one of my current favorites!
I spent hours trying to decide which print to use for these outfits, I LOVE them all!
My newest little sweetheart is sporting an easy appliqued onesie, and some little bloomers!

And this "not so little anymore" sweetheart of mine is modeling The Market Skirt, from MADE!
She of course insisted on wearing leggings, even though it is 95 degrees outside!
What a fabulous tutorial!  It was much easier than I thought, and turned out sew cute!

Hopefully these aren't my last sewing projects for the year.

I am sure this baby on mine will sleep at some point, and then let the Holiday sewing begin!

Hopefully you all enjoy these last few weeks of summer.
Come on back after Labor Day and I will have something special for you ;)
(As if the kids going back to school isn't special enough)

Happy Sewing!
